And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looking at the sash type windows and rustic plasterwork to the chimney breast I would say those are probably real beams and that this is an English cottage some 350 - 450 years old.
A good worn in chair and a fireplace, nothing to change here.

DeleteLooks like my aunt and uncles house in Wales. He used to smoke a pipe beside the fire with his terrier at his feet. I miss those days.
