  2. The first time I saw a jet plane's after burner was in January 1968 when I landed in Da Nang, Vietnam, and two Phantoms were taking off on a CAS mission. WOW!!!

  3. Oh the good old days. Got to fly some of those when they were brand new. Even picked one up at the factory once. Always think of them as new airplanes, but even the one I picked up at the factory is now comparatively well older than the Vietnam era Varks I started in. Looks like a -229 bird.
