And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I had a board made in St. Augustine back in the 70's. A honeycomb cardboard skeleton reinforced with a light coat of fiberglass resin and coated with 2 layers of hand laid fiberglass with a 2 fin tail on a board that was the same length as my height. It was about 22 pounds before waxing. Too bad their are no decent waves in north Florida. Cocoa Beach has the best waves from NC down to the Keys. I caught some good 4 to 6 foot waves there. When I got back from Basic training my boards was missing.
Spooky Sniper, notice how "Plastic" they look?

ReplyDeleteImagine how big the tree was that those two on the right were made from. Takes some time to bring out beautiful grain like that.

Mirrored veneer , split down the center, beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteThey look new and unused.
ReplyDeleteBook matched boards.
