  1. Never been to Paris. Surprised to see the Eiffel Tower up to its ankles in buildings!

  2. Yeah, if I recall correctly, the Eiffel tower is in an open space. We climbed to the top of the first level. I convinced one of my shipmates that Eiffel built this by working in his spare time and on weekends. Had him going for a few minutes.
    Good times.

  4. Something is wrong with the photo. The De Gaul Airport is nowhere near the center of Paris, and the Eiffel Tower is in open space.

  5. Yeah, it's 'shopped or AI. But it did capture the essential dingeyness of Paris.

  7. The airplane is wrong. The rear fuselage is too short, on the Concorde the vertical stabilizer is behind the trailing edge of the delta. Also at low speeds the droop snoot is pointed down so the pilots can see.

    1. I had a boss who at one time worked for a French company. He went to France many times each year and was allowed to fly the Concorde back home. He said that it was tiny with no leg room and elbow to elbow seating... but the flight was about half the time of a regular flight.
