And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I just watched a Netflix show "Everest" based on a true story. Anyone with the desire and the drive to attempt to climb that mountain (or any nearly impossible to climb summit) has got to have their head examined and maybe put away in the nut house.

Agreed. 14,505 ft (Whitney) was enough for me.

ReplyDeleteMt. Baldy was plenty for me. Most of the way was on their ski lift. Saw purple spots before I got to the summit.
