  2. Those are nice, but they have to be "Broken In" a bit before they make a decent edge.
    Having said that, they will then last 20 minutes past forever

    1. Noticed the same. Got some Japanese water stones, I run the end of the 1000grit water stone, in a bowl of water, over both diamond faces. India stones like machinists use should work too. A few easy light passes helps break the diamond grit in.

  3. Those look first rate quality. Like the honey comb pattern, imagine it assists with maintaining performance. Personally I like to use a combo of stone diamond then leather strop, for the kitchen weapons, prefer using steals to finish the edges. A little saw tooth helps maintain the edge longer it seems.

  4. These modern diamond plates are great for lapping in something, they are super flat gives high accuracy.
