And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My HILTI® TE-10 finally broke down after 34+ years of commercial use. Still drilled, but the hard plastic cracked just below the bit housing. Primary use was drilling through metal into home heating oil USTs (Underground Storage Tanks), which caused kickbacks 4-5X per use, minimum. I adapted a 3' long hand auger and used a 2.5" diameter metal saw.
So, I'm interested. Is it compatible with a HILTI shaft?
As a carpenter and just a all around fix it guy(@ least try and fix it!)I own the full rigid 18 volt kit, works well and guaranteed for life including the batteries!I had to send in the sawzall(cut a bunch of 5" caliper trees with it and burned the clutches!),took 3 weeks but cam back good as new!
I thus bought a 2nd kit,will never have a tool down without it's backup!
The full size circular works well most of day with heavy use and one battery.
My deck building and basement finishing days are behind me, and the 12V brushless tools do everything I need, as well as being lighter. I've still got the 18V drill driver, surge impact and a couple more, but I always reach for the 12V ones. I've got the corded half inch drill, just in case I need to break my wrist.

I love this damn kit(not as much as me 1911!).
For heavy work, I use a 110V Bosch Sawzall. Where no power is present, a DeWalt 20V XR w/ 5 hr. battery.
DeleteTypical price: $319.69 for the commish!
ReplyDeleteAmazon US - $295, Amazon UK - £542 ($684) And my daughter, an Amazon UK regular, asked me why I don't check Amazon prices first . . .
