  1. Very cool! I'm guessing the chrome lightning strip on the side is a custom touch?

    1. Nope - it was part of a higher trim-line package and the zig-zag was continued through the next body style.

  2. I believe International Harvester kept that same basic body structure into the late '60s. The fenders, hood, and trim went through many iterations. They got a lot of "mileage" out of those stamping dies.

  3. Drop a LS3 into it, keep the fuel injection and the 4l60e and get 15 mpg. Plus relaxed cruise on the highway, reliability and pass me now power.

  4. For some reason, I am drawn to the three door Chevy surburban, the one with only driver side door with a wrap around side mounted seating. I think you had a picture of one of these some months ago.

  6. My Step-Father had a Travel All and it got about 10 mpg if you were pulling a 35 foot travel trailer or just driving down the road. It didn't care.

Empty weight, with driver, seven passengers and full tank of fuel, 8750 pounds.

    Just kidding. Kind of.

  8. I think I recall it had a two stick transfer case. I was too young to drive last time I was in one.
