And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Pictured here is one of the most useful tools ever invented. No home should be without one! Actually, at least two. Two is one, one is none. Big believer in that! And a couple more bandoleirs wouldn't hurt either and the ammo or reloading supplies to boot
I have the same thing, with an Ithaca 37 Deerslayer bought new in 1970. I’ve tried some of those tactical types since then, but none match the quality and smoothness of John Browning’s 37.
I have a 12GA Ithaca Featherweight that I bought in '74 along with a slug barrel and another barrel that I had cut down from Full to Cylinder for skeet. Bought the full for duck hunting. Couldn't hit anything with it. I've put so many rounds through it that the sear and cross bolt safety are worn to point of being unsafe. Love that shotgun. Harvested a lot of pheasant and partridge with it.

ReplyDeleteThat's a good looking farm in the background.
ReplyDeleteMossberg 590A1 Retrograde version? I really need to get one.
ReplyDeleteSorry but anybody who has one want let it go. Trust me.
DeleteI mean the Alpha 1 Echo. Not getting mine
DeleteI have a bandolier but have wondered what if someone shoots rounds strapped to my chest. I'm not thinking it is going to turn out good
Delete^ Rounds strapped to your chest aren't the problem.
DeleteThe bullets flying through them are the problem.
Don't forget the bayonet, and make sure the edges on the heat shield don't slice your fingertips.
ReplyDeleteGot my heart started this morning with that.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, I thought it was a belt-fed shotsgun and I was going to have to start a new quest.
I thought the same thing… Was wondering how to modify mine for belt feed.
