  2. I was reading about falconry recently and learned that hawks and falcons used in falconry are generally released after just a year or 2 and do just fine in the wild because they know how to hunt.

    1. The Wright Brothers used wing warping instead of ailerons. They got the idea from watching birds in flight.

      The USAF fooled around with wing warping in the 1990s - 2000s. Maybe still do today.

    2. It's coming around again. Software and materials technology have reached a point where it is possible. My Aero and Performance Prof. predicted this back in the 80's when I was in Engineering school.
