And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was reading about falconry recently and learned that hawks and falcons used in falconry are generally released after just a year or 2 and do just fine in the wild because they know how to hunt.
It's coming around again. Software and materials technology have reached a point where it is possible. My Aero and Performance Prof. predicted this back in the 80's when I was in Engineering school.

ReplyDeleteThe Wright Brothers used wing warping instead of ailerons. They got the idea from watching birds in flight.
DeleteThe USAF fooled around with wing warping in the 1990s - 2000s. Maybe still do today.
