And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
This one has me a bit confused. I had the pleasure of meeting Max Ward (obviously this photo is not of Max) back in the 1970s when he still flew out of the Back Bay in Yellowknife. He had the most beautiful single Otter that he used to fly to a place he had well North of Yellowknife. I see that the current Ward Air (based in Alaska) uses the same colour scheme as Max did long ago. Steve_in_Ottawa
I don't think that is Max Ward, he spelled Wardair as one word and usually had the Canadian flag or a maple leaf in the logo. Max Ward was a giant in Canadian aviation, he started with a biplane in the '40s and built it into Canada's biggest charter airline by the '80s with a fleet that included 4 or 5 Boeing 747s, IIRC. As I noted above, that's not Max. I think that searching on "Wardair" (one word) can show up both outfits and the fact that the current operator uses a similar colour scheme was a bit confusing. I still remember how the exhausts on that single Otter were polished to a mirror except where they were that beautiful straw blue/yellow. Sure loved flying in single Otters.
