  2. Reminds me of the story in the news recently where a couple of thieving idiots went into a shoe store and stole a whole lotta right foot shoes off the show racks. Intelligence not required for that job!

  3. Never liked that style of boot. Seems a little... effeminate ? Or maybe it's more of a West Coast style type thing ?

  4. I alway thought of them for working indoors or on solid pavement, not in the bush. Easy on the feet but slippery. YMMV.

  5. I need Vibram lugs for what I do, and speedlaces to make it quick.

  6. Fifty years or so ago, that style of boot was called a "construction boot", or some such, and had a defined heel, rather than that wedge thing.
I can't find that style now.

    1. I cannot recall exactly but Red Wing had Red Wings made entirely in the USA with USA materials, they had China made with USA materials, and then China made, China materials. I think that was true

  8. Those are "cute " I guess, if you need a different colored pair of boots to match every outfit . I'm sure the soy latte mocha metro sexual crowd loves them. Think I will stick with my Danners though .

    1. I've got a pair of Danners that I use for hunting. They are warm, supportive and super comfortable....I can be outdoors all day and not think about my feet. Just this past weekend I retreated the leather with Huberds Shoe Grease. It works great, but I have to admit that it smells like an oil refinery, so to not anger the wife, I apply it outdoors and let the boots stay out overnight.
