Dynamic Exit

  1. It drops out of the bottom? It looks like a Bond movie disposing of a bad guy

  2. Bad guys go out thru the roof...

This was a DARPA program testing advanced concepts, the ability to conduct airborne ERCCs.

  4. B-47 Radar/Navigator/Bombardier position. My father was injured in accident with one of those downward ejection seats while in SAC.

    1. I can believe that. That picture looks like that guy's about to get his bell rung by that dome or whatever the hell it is.

  5. The B-47 and B-52 had downward firing ejection seats for crew members stationed on the lower level. Early F104 Starfighters had downward firing ejector seats too.

  6. Fine for high altitude exit. Not so much on takeoff or landing.

  7. It's his heavy cast iron testicles pulling him downwards.

  8. KC-135 and E-3 had hatches in the floor through which to bail out, time and conditions permitting. Dark humor said the first guy out would clear all the antennas off the bottom of the fuselage for the rest of the crew.
