  2. The Amp shouldn't have anything above it, you don't want to cook the tape transport or CD mechanism with all that waste heat.

  3. Agree with Rick but that’s probably a class B or class AB amp, so the heat output is not that much. High end Class A amps will keep your room warm in the winter.

  5. I rented a nice Akai stereo once. My roommate's dipshit friend blew out the speakers. Fortunately, I was covered by the rental agreement.
