And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I bought some like this last year at a local farm that grows produce for sale to the local Whole Foods and Aldi's. They were billed as "Heirloom Tomatoes". I figured that they'd be like like tomatoes my folks grew when I was a kid, very flavorful. No, they tasted like tomatoes one can by at the supermarket, cardboard. I was thoroughly disillusioned and disappointed.
I hope you have better luck if you find some locally in Cali.
As I have posted before, New Jersey tomatoes are reputed to be the very best. Last year, my Colorado farmers market offered as good or better than "Jersey matters." I can't wait for this year's crop!!!
Some Mennonite families moved in down the road from my family’s land in Tennessee about 15 years ago. They sell these at their market. Best mater and mayo sandwich I’ve had in a while.

Any store bought tomatoes, no matter what they're purported to be, taste like cardboard.
