If these are the steps leading up to the top of the mountain just behind Manchu Picchu, l was there and went up the trail as far as the last stretch, which had steps and took you to the very top. I tried to go up, clinging to the wall of the mountain but froze: l just could not go higher. It was a sheer drop of hundreds of feet! I crept back down, clinging to the wall. . .

  5. As I get older my balance is not what it was, I think those stairs are in my past....
    If you have something you want to do, don't wait too long, or as the old fat man says, "Don't wait Do it now".

  7. My youngest made that treck a few years back. She said the mosquitoes distract from the terror of falling.
