  1. I own this saw, or at least the version of the same saw circa 2020. I've used it for cutting material for a couple of projects, including the trusses for a barn and the roof for a chicken run/henhouse. These types of projects are the largest I do, and so not pro-level duration or scope. The angles are precise and repeatably consistent and I have been very happy with it so far. The more expensive sliding miter saws are great for what they do, but I don't really need that, so I went with a less expensive, but still very good saw.

    1. We have the same level of need, though my aspirations exceed my skills on most all subjects.
Why does your name ring such a bell with me?

  2. As a builder have used the dual bevel one for a couple of decades, works great and sure it can still do cuts I have not yet learned!

  4. I had a sliding, compound miter saw at one point, but it just took up too much space and I didn't use it much. I've considered getting a simple chop-saw like this, but space is still an issue. Currently I just use hand-held circular-saw jigs based on the ones this guy makes: https://youtu.be/QCnCP1hdg9g?si=cQPj3sMgD0yDeDal

  5. Double bevel is the way to go, unless you're just chopping straight boards.
