And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I remember my dad would drive his 54 Chevy real slow a couple of miles further down the road to save a penny or two for gas! But then he was raised during the great depression! it's funny that I kinda do the same now in the FJB world.
I sometimes wonder how the guy I sold my '69 Cutlass 350/310 HP is doing. It took Hi-test and a bottle of lead replacement (for the valves) which seemed costly at 2010 prices.
My dad took the ram air induction off his 300G (413?) and put on a single carb. Put the ram air back on a year later. Even in the 70s affording gas was a problem.
Can smell the tetraethyl lead.
ReplyDeleteIt matters only when calculating the distance to the next gas station.
ReplyDeleteMad Max didn’t worry. Just sayin’…
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Cuda on the left, why is the dumb ass looking for the gas cap behind the plate?
ReplyDeleteWhy are you ASSuming he's looking for the cap when he doesn't have the nozzle in his hand?
DeleteIf you look real close you can see that indeed the nozzle is already inserted. You can actually see the hose as well.
DeleteMaybe he's covering the plate before
Deletehitting the street for a little
to light dust up.

ReplyDeleteYou're better off thinking about Kilometers to the Liter
ReplyDeleteWe here in America know that there is only one number in the metric system that is worth a whit.
DeleteThat number is 9.
mm.

Who puts s spoiler on a Chrysler? In the 60s when talking about gas mileage your brag number had to be with or without the AC running.
