And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The basic problem is that, for the last 100 + years, the schools have been deliberately dumbing down the student instruction. We have had multiple generations of really stupid people that have no idea what reality and facts are. School has become a childcare system. When the teachers also come from the same schools, and in addition seem to be some of the dumbest graduates, you have a big, compound, problem. Part of the situation is that both parents need to work to pay the taxes that the family is hit with. So, no one is at home full time, so all the kids end up in "childcare". All Western Civ countries are in the same boat with the high taxes to support all the "freebies" that socialism creates and demands. Part of the control system for the governments.
Not enough people are paying attention to what the .gov is doing, since they don't know how to see it factually, instead of emotionally. A country ends up with a large majority of "female thinking" people driving everything. The Democrats pushed for women to get the vote back in FDR's days, because they knew that there would always be a majority of them that would vote for socialistic measures. They are wired to be attracted to the "strong provider" types, and that creates political problems EVERY TIME. Combine that with the men who are "female thinkers", and you are quickly on the road to ruin.
Today's best solution would be to unplug "Old Joe" and lead him out to pasture.
