And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
True story 2 weeks ago. Where I live we get a lot of termite nests that are attached to trees. The things are huge, like 10 footballs and I'm chopping with my machette and ant powdering as I go and I expose a nest with 2 baby kingfishers right in the middle of the termite nest very much alive. crap! I did what I could to close it up with a bag and washed out the powder and hoped for the best. I saw the mother or maybe father on the side of the nest a couple days later, so I had hopes, but unfortunately the babies didn't make it. Who knew they built inside termite nests??? I will know next time and look for an entrance hole before chopping. Sad
