And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
appears to be two different bikes, the exhaust is joined on one (thinking it's not the bike in the film) the other, with the trophy on the handle bars is the bike in the film.
they probably sat them on an available bike for publicity photos.
The bike was in the film, used by another rider. "The famous publicity photo features Wally Albright's Matchless (much 'Wild One' trivia on the imdb). As nzcarnerd indicates, the 'jampot' rear dampers almost certainly confirm the machine to be a c.1950 customised G9 498cc twin - with alloy guards, ugly siamesed exhaust and upswept silencer....." The Internet is amazing. https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_140559-Matchless-1950.html
Incidentally, Wally Albright was a stunt rider in this movie, but he started out as a baby in Pictures, and had most of his career as a cute little child actor. If you ever saw one of the Our Gang shorts, he was one of Spanky's cohorts, the one with the cowboy hat.
Triumph Thunderbird 6T, apparently Marlon's own motorcycle.
ReplyDeleterear of frame doesn't seem a match, but dunno.
