Burt Munro, known as the fastest man from New Zealand, became internationally known for the records he broke at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah in the 1960s. In eleven record attempting trips to the National Speed Week, the Kiwi broke three world records on his Indian motorcycle

I saw it years ago and I thought it was pretty good.
It was a good film. One amusing cameo was when he asked the young lad next door to look after his lemon tree. By peeing on it!

DeleteHe was a very personable guy. He will always have the under "1000 cc class record". They changed the classification breaking down that class into 3 separate classes that are very specific.
