And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A pet peeve of mine is looking for American WWII movies and catching actors wearing only the fiberglass inner shell, the tell is a rivet on the side. I have my issue late 70s which is same as a WWII, it's heavy
just do recall reading of Gurkha troops in Italy (?) snoop'n & poop'n through German lines. Before partially eliminating a German watch stander they'd confirm friend or foe by fingering the outline of the helmet. Sleeping occupants later awoke to a dead comrade. No idea if a sea story or not. Their personal fighting knife "kukri" is an awesome edged weapon. Traditionally, once unsheathed, it has to have a "taste" before being sheathed.
