A helmet worn by a Kipchak warrior, 1200s AD. The Kipchaks were a Turkic steppe people who lived in what’s now southern Russia and other central Asian nations. They were eventually conquered by the Mongols under Genghis Khan.
The clasp in the middle of the forehead on that helmet reminds me of buckles on old school buckle boots.
