View of crew members supervising the loading of 21 inch torpedos from the deck of submarine depot ship HMS Forth (A187) of the Royal Navy on to a T-class submarine HMS Truant (N68) of the 3rd Flotilla or Squadron docked alongside at anchor in Holy Loch, June 1943.
When I first reported to the USS Los Angeles (SSN688), as a junior sailor, I had to bunk in the torpedo room when at sea. Slept next to MK48 torpedoes, and had a SUBROC across the aisle from me. Not the best area to have to bunk.
