And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Lumber has tripled in the past year. Puts a few of my personal projects in jeopardy. But it hasn't slowed down the building industry. So far this year I have designed 22 projects in SW Florida. That's almost as many as I did all last year.
Tariffs and inflation. The tariff war with Canada caused this. Sticking it to China was 40 years to late but Canada should have been negotiated. Tariffs are a tax on the people who buy. Government gets their cut either way tariff or no tariff.

ReplyDeleteNo kidding. I just spent $300 building 2 4x6' ground contact platforms. I can't imagine what the $7K deck I built last year would cost me this year.
