And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Now, you might wonder how the cyclist could be so dumb, but from her point of view I'd bet those forks are pretty much indiscernible. That could be a concussion there.
Don't know how many times I've had to cuss some dummy at work to put the damn forks on the ground. I actually started painting the things bright yellow & writing their ass up.
Years back, something similar (but nearly as hard impact) occurred to me. Getting out of truck in parking lot, I waled around adjacent truck, a mini pick-up with bed cap. Late morning in bright sunlight. I did not notice the cap had a ladder mounted on roof rack, and walking around back edge, got a face full of ladder. I were a bit on edge for a minute, and would have given the driver more than q piece of my mind at the time.
I always liked watching the fork operator driving backwards with his knee resting on the lift controls. surprised look when the op turned around and his load was way up in the air. my plant policy on cell phones was only allowed in the break areas.
