And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The engine on a 380 is about the same size as the fuselage of the twin. What is that? An ATR? Looks like an MU-2, with the engine out glide angle of a brick.....
ATR. Looks like Manchester airport. That is am amazingly nifty comparison of size. I saw an A380 on approach to DFW once. It looked like it was flying low and slow enough to reach up and pet it's belly as it went by. An astoundingly massive airplane.
Same effect with a C-5A. I was standing a quarterdeck watch when a C-5 on final approach to NAS Norfolk flew by. Same approach speed as a C-141, but the C-5 was so massive it looked like it was crawling along.
That is a wicked example of frame capture rate. Wow.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would worry more following that fat whale, waiting for parts to fall off.

DeleteWhat's real interesting is that Both of the engines were synched. Really synched.
ReplyDeleteSynched and on-speed. As an old P-3 rider, I'm impressed.
