And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Bogsidebunny sent me this picture with the following description.
Here's my father (pilot) and a friend at Sussex, NJ airport with his puddle-jumper. Circa 1940.
Neither he nor I know what kind of airplane this is. Anybody know?
The Naval Aircraft Factory N3N was an American tandem-seat, open cockpit, primary training biplane aircraft built by the Naval Aircraft Factory (NAF) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the 1930s.
A.K.A. "Yellow Peril." (http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/history-up-close/n3n-original-yellow-peril/) My Dad learned to fly these at the Naval Academy in 1950ish, one of the last to do so. He liked them okay but preferred jets like the T-33.
