And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Do you have the skills to drive for the President?
First, the video is all CG - nothing you see is real. Second, is it not a bit concerning how realistic this is? How much better at this will the technology be in, say, five or ten years?
Look at the last 6 seconds. The smoke from the tires looks fake, artificially added. I think this was doctored, though I suspect the driving was legit.
It's all computer generated. Every bit of it. Just amazing work. Plus, I can only imagine what kind of monster engine it would take to make a big, heavy lumbering Cadillac like that perform in that way in real life.
They already are, aren't they? Last night I watched "Death Takes a Holiday" from 1934 and was mesmerized. Excellent movie with great acting and a good story.
Not that long ago I gave up on the last installment of the "Die Hard" series, where everything was CGI. It's too hard to suspend my disbelief when a hovering jet shoots down a freeway overpass, and Bruce Willis jumps onto the jet's wing... no, sorry; not believable, even though I do like Bruce Willis.
Far too many films these days with lousy stories, terrible "acting" (though it is hard to act, when you aren't seeing anything but a green screen,) and a plot that most 5-year-olds would see through. Not to mention the lack of any moral-to-the-story except that sex & violence are fun (see the "Kick-Ass" movies for a good example.)
I 'cut the cable' long ago, and haven't regretted it for a moment.

DeleteWhat I look forward to is Actors and Hollywood being unnecessary.

Not unnecessary enough. Not yet.
