And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
As a matter of fact, I've been there. It's near Engineer Summit, roughly between Ouray, CO and Lake City, CO. And it's even cooler than it looks in the picture. I've been inside the cabin itself and while it's very well done rustic, it's just a bit on the cramped side for my tastes. The nearest residence is about 10 miles away down toward Lake City.
Further, in the winter, the only way up there is by snowmobile. The snow base is usually 10' plus. You can go north, and cut around the gorge and enter the residence that way. The last time I saw it, the cabin was for sale. I entertained making an offer on it but didn't. It may have sold but they had it up for sale for about two years.
