This pretty much defines the problem

But the answer is not to prep your bug out bag.  It's to engage with the system and fight back within the system.  Collapse and anarchy is possible, but if we are still good and true Americans, we must do what we can to cure these ills and prevent that.  It begins with voting for leaders who will support the law, who will return to financial sanity, and who will protect our constitutional freedoms.  It begins with challenging the falsehoods constantly bombarding us, and with insisting on morality (traditional kind, if you like) in schools and in our own behavior.   It begins with working and supporting yourself and your family, and eschewing the bloody hand of the government handout.
