And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Who doesn't like old Colts?
After squinting at the writing on the barrel, this looks like a .38 Police Positive.
Part of me has wondered why the police would carry that firearm - but many have and some may still make that choice. You can't shoot +P from that weapon and when it came out there was no +P load available.
Ahhhhh, memories. I qualified with those in the police academy 40 years ago. There was so much wobble in the cylinder indexing that the cylinder would not align completely with the barrel and they would shave little slivers of lead and spit them out the sides. I'd be picking those slivers out of my hand from the cop shooting in the stall next to me.

ReplyDeleteColts are famous for going out of time, but that is ridiculous!
