Earth as seen from space can be art. These color enhanced images demonstrate that fact.

Below is the Yukon delta, appearing like a swarm of blood vessels. The delta is protected as a wildlife refuge, and is one of the largest delta fans on the planet.

Below is the Baltic island of Gotland. Surrounding this Swedish island are fantastic swirls of phytoplankton, spun into surrealistic shapes by the currents.

Below are huge sand dunes marching across the empty quarter in Saudi Arabia. A prominent ridge in the center divides the ranks of sand like a scimitar, and is the location of the small, isolated border town of Sharurah. I especially like the lonely clouds floating above the sands, which from below must seem like a cruel whisper reminding one of the cool liquid sea so far away.

Here is a clearer picture of Sharurah, nearly lost in the vast expanse of torrid desert. Would it be a curse or an adventure to live down there?
