Here is a fine example of the quality and diversity of folks at the One Nation rally this week. By the way, can anyone explain what the heck Dick Gregory was talking about? Really, that guy must have engaged in some major and extended heavy drug usage to reach his current state of complete confusion. Wow.

At least some of the others could string together a few sentences in a meaningful way. Julian Bond was definitely the class act here, and that socialist guy, although a socialist, was intelligent. To bad he decided to advocate for a system that has failed every time it has been tried. The teachers union lady was very afraid of the competition of private schools, something that ought not to bother her if the public schools were doing the fabulous job she seems to think they are.

This was very much a rally of the far left, a much more radical group than most traditional Democrats. This was very much a gathering of a multitude of groups that depended on big government for their jobs. This was a grouping of people that wanted government to keep others from competing with them, that wanted government to take something from someone else and give it to them, and that wanted to impose restrictions on others so that no one would excel or become significantly more successful than anyone else.

Are these the political beliefs of the majority of Americans, or in any way compatible with the political philosophy which the country was founded upon, and which it has used to go from a weak backwater nation to the number one world power today? I think clearly not, and that is why there will be a resounding political defeat in store for these folks in November.

Why the Democratic party has allowed itself to become more and more identified with these radicals (radical for America that is), I do not know, but it is certainly not politically good for them. It is certainly possible that without a change in leadership and political philosophy, the Democrats could go from being on top of the world after the election of President Obama, to an also ran party in a very short time. Time will tell the tale.

This is a video well worth your time to watch.
