And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When we was kids, the Sunnoco station had an outside one, the selection included Fanta pop, their orange was excellent those days, root beer was pretty good too, came in heavy clear bottles, 10 cents, by the oil embargo they jumped them to 20 cents, everything basically doubled, few years later gas went up from 30-35 cents to 55 cents over night, just about killed us, ate up a lot of paycheck, especially you used heating oil, the whole thing was awful suspicious, now, no doubts its all about wealth transfer, how much can be squeezed from ones labors. Makes that vintage pop dispenser look pretty nice, if only the thing it represented, a time now long gone but lovingly remembered.

ReplyDeleteMy property taxes and rent just skyrocketed in one year. Soc Sec COLA is 3.6% and no one protests or sticks up for us.
