And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is funny how things work. In the 1940's our parents and grandparents fought fascists in Europe only to have their kids and grandkids welcome fascists in America a few generations later
Thought, "Organ recital, big deal..." until I was a second set of hands for the install / tuning of one. A $800k handcrafted magnificent pieces of WOOD.
Hearing that giant pipe organ rumble to life, the church pews throbbing, J. S Bach, Toccata and Fugue in D minor.... nothing on earth can duplicate that magnificent thunderous melody!
even 50 years isn't enough time to "see" just Manhattan (forget the other four boroughs for the moment) - and not only because it changes/evolves from day to day; that, when all is said and done, is its major attraction: the "street" changes from minute to minute and only Noo Yawkers can keep up with it. and prior to Mamdani (he and his ilk are deliberately destroying it), it drew people - of all sorts - to work, live, and raise families there. ask me how I know
I LOVE how all the mouth breathers that have not set a foot in New York in the last 30 years are so thoroughly convinced that the city is a hellscape because their preferred political figure and news channel has told them so! Meanwhile 8.5 million people live in the city and 60 MILLION visit every year and get to see and enjoy the REAL city on a daily basis.
For all the mouth breathers in the room, all I just mentioned also applies to London.
The best thing you can do is stay in you basements afraid by all the "news" you get from Fox, X, OAN and your friend from high school that never left AssCrackMissouri. Meanwhile the rest of us will continue enjoying the real world.
Psalm 50:10-11 "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine."
Another anonymous troll... FWIW I'm one of those mouth breathers who HAS been in NYC in the last 6 years and I stopped watching the corporate owned news when I watched their propaganda after the stolen election in 2020. Remember what you posted here when that church is burned...
ya gotta breathe through your mouth - very carefully through a mask 'cause the constant, pervasive, ubiquitous aromas of urine and feces can overwhelm if breathed through the nose
Been there a couple of months ago and I NEVER want to go back either! I saw it as tired, dirty, expensive and depressive to behold. May God take mercy on the few good folks who still live there!
With the Dems and the Muslims taking over NYC how long will it be there?
ReplyDeleteDouble the fire insurance... if you can still insure a Christian church these days.
DeleteWith the way NYC is going I was wondering how long before they started giving it the "Paris Treatment"?
Delete'Is Paris burning?', Hitler asked? Yes, it is! Is New York burning next?
DeleteFunny how things work out, Hitler and the people burning Paris today have the same outlook on Jews.

DeleteSt. Patricks...if you can keep it.
ReplyDeleteYes; St. Patrick's. A friend of mine played an organ recital there back in the day.

You got to see it once. Once is enough.

I think that this NYC church is where JFK and Jackie were married.
