  3. Bet those Coors are gonna taste great, vintage looks pre east of the Rockies dales exclusion, guy I knew made runs regularly up into Colorado cause he loved his Coors, would fill his bed and sell every can he could bring back. I think it tasted better just because we could not buy it locally, it was a fun ride and always beautiful scenery up into the mountains anyways, and we never went thirsty coming back.

  4. Went with a guy back to the Indy 500 time trials in the late 70's who took along a few cases of Coors beer. We were stopped by a flagman for road construction. We motioned the flagman to come over to the car and handed him a six pack of Coors. I'll never forget the shocked look on his face.

  6. I tried a six pack when the eastern embargo was still on, early 70's. It weren't nothing special then and it ain't now.

  7. In the 70's it was still illegal in Oregon. We'd pool our money (not much) and pack the trunk of one of the cars with Coors from Idaho. Figured our gas money enough to make it to Salem, after that, we were moderately wealthy. We did that for as long as it was banned. Some really great road trips. Those college girls thought a lot of us. :-)
