The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The image shows the Glenfinnan Monument standing at the head of Loch Shiel in the Scottish Highlands. • Location: Lochaber, Scottish Highlands, Scotland • Significance: Erected in 1815 to commemorate the raising of the Jacobite standard by Prince Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie") at the start of the 1745 uprising
Last year we stayed in a VRBO almost visible on the far right of that photo in Glenfinnan. Beautiful area. From there we were able to drive and visit much of the southwest of Scotland. The viaduct which made even more famous in recent years by the Harry Potter movies is half a mile directly behind the camera that took this photo. https://maps.app.goo.gl/xDMQshNveVLLvzy37?g_st=ic
