And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Heh, we had a pair of Dobermans, our kids would stand in the open doorway, staring out side, sometimes shouting (to hear their echo)... flanked by Dobes! They'd have an arm around each one, no salesman or JW or Mormon ever got close enough to ring the doorbell.
I've raised Dobies for 50+years. One of the books I read early on called them 'the Cadillac of dogs'. They're like nothing else. Speed, loyalty, love, and PROTECTION. They incorporate it all. Advise new owners not to spank their children, you might get a very nasty situation.
