The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The old originals rock, work slick as a watch, that baby is prime Winchester iron. Looks like my old trusty 92, (but it looks like a 73), worn down right, from three generations, though it got re-barreled in 86, Douglas .44 mag barrel, 38-40 has the same case head dimensions, thread it in and a couple passes with a finishing reamer, gave it a new life and extra wacking power, tried 180 grn wad cutters Buffalo Bore makes, slug passes clean right thru in broadside, and couple does on my corn DRT.
Not a "everything is AI" guy but this looks like a AI conflation of an 1873 and a 1894. Something not right with both the features and the proportions.
I love Trapper length lever rifles, but I do agree with Anon 9:51 am - the receiver side surface and butt plate do not appear to be what I assume is correct angle. A bit cattywampus - maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. The stock does appear a bit short, but a short stock is far easier to shoot with than a stock too long. The sights do appear to be vintage factory post - buckhorn sights.
