The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? my niece was a gymnast from childhood through college. Injury persuaded her to become an indoor "rock" climbing instructor. That enabled her to pay the bills and finally settle into a more cerebral career.
I am not a climber. Having said that, would her left foot/leg position not push her away from the wall or rock face instead of up? Do her hands have the purchase to allow for this position? See first sentence.
