And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
They work the river behind my house. Sometimes the Golden Eagles sit in the trees and wait for an Osprey to catch a fish just so they can steal it. The Osprey can outturn the eagles, but usually, eventually give up and drop the fish which the eagles will catch in midair.
Was just on the dock doing a little fishing & the Osprey are out fishing too. They were doing better than me.

ReplyDeleteThe St.Joe river in Idaho has a lot of those birds, I always used to watch them from my dad's tugboat when doing lake tows.
ReplyDeleteWest Coast Florida they are plentiful. I love to watch them fish. Once in a while you get lucky and see a Bald Eagle as well.
