And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Gators are slowly working their way north in Texas. There have been a few small ones sighted in lakes around Fort Worth. This is how it starts. Stay out of the water.
Fun fact: their jaw strength is in closing the the jaw, not opening it. If you can keep their jaws from opening, you can keep them from biting you. Funner fact: if you can stay out of the water near them and keep a large caliber firearm handy, you may also be able to score yourself some new boots.
