And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

“If you don’t get out at once, I’m going to call the police” Gene Tierney in Laura [1944]
Two thoughts about that movie: 1. Vincent Price played a wuss. 2. On the porpular SXM 148 Radio Classics Channel, the 1940s Detective Harry Lime stated, " So. I Went to "Laura" 10 times. Who wouldn't want to see Gene Tierney on a full screen 10 times for 90 minutes?
And Clifton Webb got what he deserved from Dana Andrwes.
