    1. Yup, they like big squid and they'll dive really deep to get them.
      Some of the whales have been found to have 3-ft diameter sucker marks on their skin, so there are squid a lot larger out there than we thought.

  6. Yeah, that's what that big head is for, a giant biologic active sonar to find the squid in the dark and eat 'em. Hoomans are not their kind of food, all bony inside, not salty like squid. And since we don't hunt them anymore, they've got no reason to go all moby dick on us.

    I wonder what it's like. You're a squid, living in the cold and almost dark, drifting along in the placid current arms out always feeling for fishies, looking for them with those big black eyes. And suddenly the water currents madly swirl in every direction as a vast unseen bulk, as dark as can be, bumps into you, slides past and then a toothed jaw clamps down. Yikes!
