And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Full face masks are not recommended. Users typically don’t breath deeply enough to clear out the CO2 which builds up in the mask and snorkel tube. A large percentage of drownings here in Hawaii involve these masks.
Seems like a really cool way to do it. Centered above the head, slight lean backwards to help avoid splashing into the tube and let you go pretty well face down to observe all things below. At least see the teeth of the big guy that takes a bite of ya. As far as the drowning thing. How many people drown in a given year. Would think even in Hawaii the numbers would be paltry at best. Even a "large percentage" of a small number is a smaller number still. Imagine more get killed driving to the shore to snorkel than die from getting sleepy in a mask. Whenever I've done the old kick paddle thing my resperation rate goes through the roof and I use parts of my lungs that haven't tasted fresh air since the last swim. Yeah, I rode a bike with no helmet, drank from the hose and played honest to God Jarts...sigh.

ReplyDeleteMy son had one, I tried it. Very cool, worked well, but try to dive. You can’t. You have a big bubble of air trapped against your face.
