Too Far Gone?

  1. Not too far gone. Just Empty Every Pocket. And bank account. And credit limit. Start early, or you'll miss retirement.

  2. My first car was a 47' Willys the same color as this one, but the paint and body were in great shape. Of course, it was less than 20 years old then. It had a vacuum driven windshield wiper on the driver side, a hand-cranked one one the passenger side, and a nice soft top.
I wish I still had it.

  3. I sold a 9 vent radiator Willys (Ford) that was in worse shape back in 2000. The guy that bought it replaced all of the sheet metal on a new frame and blueprinted the engine. He went through everything and spent 5 years doing it. It looks like it rolled off the factory floor but with an engine with almost twice the horse power.

  4. I don't understand why barn finds/rusty field cars are all the rage. too much work to restore. Prices of most collectable cars have dropped drastically. Buy one already done.

    1. For some men, the pride of having done it themselves gives them permission to drive the end result and declare it as theirs. The way you describe is for posers. There are already plenty of them.
