  4. The explosive range for methane/air mixtures is about 4% to about 13% methane. Rupturing the tanks produces a mixed layer on the surface of a hge methane bubble that burns rather than explodes. A good example is the crash of the Hinemberg.

  5. When the Houthis started acting up, LNG tankers immediately rerouted around Cape Hope to avoid the Red Sea. Depending on LNG to keep the lights on is a risky bet.
    Those tanks are thin metal and thick insulation, highly vulnerable.
