And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
An ex-friend of mine once talked about a psychological change that comes over him when he put on the uniform. He called it "putting on the big suit", alluding to this guy.
Saw them live August 9, 1983 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on that Stop Making Sense tour. The Big Suit was special. What a summer that was. Wolfpack had just won the NCAA tourney, Orioles would go on to win the World Series.
Same as it ever was.
